Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Margaretta Hell, 70, who died Friday morning, February 2, 1962, at Hartley, Iowa, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Carl Sinning of the Manning Presbyterian Church in charge. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Hell was born in Hayes Township, Crawford County, Iowa, March 4, 1891, the daughter of Margaret Erps and William F. Wiese. She was educated in the rural schools and was married December 22, 1909, to Johannes Hell. They lived in the Manning community until 1943, when they moved to a farm six miles south of Denison. Her husband died in 1953, and she returned to Manning.

For the last few weeks she had lived at the home of her daughter in Sutherland, Iowa. She was taken to the Hartley Hospital Friday morning, and she died there the same evening.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harry Selk (Ella) of Sutherland, and Mrs. Carl Meyer (Edna) of Vail; two brothers, Detlef Wiese of Vail, and William Wiese of Knoxville; a sister, Mrs. Anna Kruetzfeldt of Manning; four grandchildren, Donald Meyer of Schleswig, Janet Meyer of Council Bluffs, Sarah Meyer of Maryville, Missouri; and Thomas Selk of Sutherland; three great-grandchildren, James, Larry, and Suzanne Meyer of Schleswig.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother John, a sister Alvina, and a grandson.
