DEATH.
Mrs. Sophia Dart passed away at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of her brother, J.C. Haupt, in this city. Mrs. Dart had been a sufferer for a number of years with stomach trouble, and it was this and other complications that caused her death. She had been traveling and visiting among relatives in different parts for several months prior to her death in the hopes of receiving some health benefit shortly following her arrival in Manning, a few weeks ago, she took suddenly ill, and from that time until death she suffered intensely.

Following short services, conducted by Rev. McLeod, at the Haupt home Tuesday evening, the remains were taken to the Milwaukee station and placed on board Limited No. 4, which bore them to Forest, Illinois, the old home of the deceased and where interment took place yesterday.

Mrs. Sophia (Haupt) Dart was born at Neovstadtgodens, Germany, in 1840. At the time of her death her exact age being 60 years, 2 months and 2 days. She came to America in 1869 and was married to Frank Dart in 1872. Unto this union three children were born, two of which survive. The husband and father died in 1893. Mrs. Dart leaves but one brother, J.C. Haupt, who lives in this city.
