At the home of his daughters, Mrs. Anna Bierl of Templeton, occurred the death of Theodore Loch Monday evening, June 5. Mr. Loch had attained the age of 90 years at the time of his demise. He was born April 9, 1815, in Mertlock on the Rhine and came to America May 1, 1875, and settled immediately in Carroll County where he has lived ever since. Mr. Loch was a cobbler by trade but had not followed the trade for some ten years. While a young man he served his country, having been a soldier under the German flag. He was also a good musician and was known as a man of unquestionable character. Four children survive him, Mr. Joseph Loch of Manning, Mrs. Margareth Stitz, Mrs. Anna Bierl and Elizabeth Loch. The funeral occurred last Wednesday with interment in the Catholic Cemetery at Hillsdale.
