In Memory of Thomas David Grau
Thomas David Grau Sr., age 79, of Manning passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Private funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014.
Pastor Jonathan Conner, officiated the services, and Carolyn Kerkhoff was organist.

Born on August 15, 1935, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Tom was the son of Emil and Magda (Holm) Grau. He grew up on his family's farm north of Manning and graduated from Manning High School in 1955. Tom's father passed away when he was 12 years old and following high school he ran the farming operation for his mother. He was married to Ann Booth Littell on November 13, 1954 in Sioux City. The couple continued farming and raised their family on their farm south of Manning. Tom loved farming and his family.

Tom is survived by his wife Ann of Manning; two daughters: Barbara Page (Steve) of Manning and Nancy Anheier (Marc) of Jacksonville, Florida; four sons: Dean Grau of Manning, Tom Grau Jr. (Samia) of Irving, Texas, Bob Grau (Andrea) of Corning, and Steve Grau (Sheri) of Bondurant; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, one brother, a brother-in-law and nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, and a son Lester in 1986.

For historical purposes Tom's siblings were: Leora, Louise, Alfred, Rose, Emil Jr., and Irwin.
