Thomas Peter Halverson, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was born on August 25, 1951, to Elsie (Halverson) and Walter Hansen in Manning, Iowa. On June 14, 1970, he married Judith Palmer in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple divorced after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Survivors include his daughter, Carrie Sheldon of Austin, Minnesota, and her three children, Jace, Jessie, and Jamie, daughter Stephanie Lacina (Dave Doughty) and her children Tyler, Zachary and Jordon, daughter Jenny Peterson and her son Brayden, and son Shane Halverson (Kelly) and their children Jason, Kody and Kaydence, all of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Lily and Julian Lacina.

Tom worked at United States Gypsum for thirty years and then ran his own small construction business until his health no longer allowed it. He was a very talented wood worker. He could make or fix anything. He loved his pets and especially loved when his new great grandkids visited him in the nursing home during his final days.

A family service will be held at a later date at Fulton Lutheran Cemetery where Tom will be laid to rest.
