OLD TIMER PASSES AWAY
June 18, 1925 Manning Monitor

Mrs. Trinkie (Ehrichs) Hansen was born March 4th, 1842, in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. She came to this country when but a girl. She was married to August Friedrich Hansen, and settled down to the life on the farm in Crawford County. To this union seven children were born, two of whom predeceased the parents.

Nineteen years ago the family moved to Manning. The husband and father passed away about three years ago. The deceased has not been well for almost a year, and on June 11th, she bade farewell to the earthy scenes at the ripe old age of 83 years, 3 months and 7 days. She leaves to mourn her departure five children: John F. Hansen, Crawford County; Miss Maggie Hansen, Mrs. Henry Mundt and Mrs. John Pencker, all of Manning; Mrs. Henry Stuhr, Botna; also one brother, John Ehrichs, Aspinwall; also 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church last Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Harry Coates, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery.
