MRS. LA VERN CHRISTENSEN
Funeral services for Mrs. LaVern Christensen, 30, were held Sunday afternoon, May 26, at 2 o'clock at the Ohde Funeral home with the Rev. Arthur Raeside, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Mrs. Christensen passed away at her home Friday morning after a lingering illness.

Music was furnished by a quartet, Mrs. Nick C. Nickum, Mrs. Orville Harris, Ray Pratt and Arthur Rix with Mrs. Henry W. Hagedorn at the organ. Pallbearers were: Herman Ruhde, Alvin Hagedorn, Harold Reinke, Melvin Grimm, Elvin Popp and Leo Hagedorn.

Mrs. Christensen was born, Vera Juels, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Juels, February 18, 1916, near Manning.

She was married October 12, 1940, to LaVern Christensen at Manning. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Sally, Lorraine, and Sharyl, also her parents and the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Eddie Grau, Botna; Arnold, Viola and Edna Mae Juels of Denver, and Harold Juels, Manning.
