Funeral services for Wanda O. Knapp were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning on Friday, January 16, 1981, at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Dean Walker of Sacred Heart Church in Manning officiating. Organist was Bonita Hagedorn. Interment was in Manning Cemetery with Kenneth Dales, Ken Fogleman, Fred Timmerman, Hugo Ress, Claus Bunz and Les Andresen as casket-bearers.

Wanda O., daughter of Charles E. and Josephine (Gilbert-Milligan) Lyden, was born March 18, 1893 in Manning, Iowa. She attended the Manning School. Wanda lived in Omaha for many years. After the death of her husband, Thomas Knapp, she came back to Manning and took care of her father. After his death she moved to Carroll where she cared for an elderly couple and did babysitting. In 1971 she retired to Manning and made her home at the Terrace Apartments.

For the past three years she has been in the Manning Plaza. Wanda passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 1981, at the Manning General Hospital at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 25 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Knapp, by her parents, by a sister, Bess Mosher & by two brothers, Vincent Lyden and Bonito Lyden.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Lyden of Manning, by a nephew, Vincent Lyden, by two nieces, Marianne Addington and Jeanne Farley. She is also survived by cousins and other relatives and friends.
