DEATH OF MRS. HAGEMANN
After an illness of four months duration Wilhelmina Hagemann, wife of Ed Hagemann, passed away at the German Lutheran Hospital at Sioux City, where she had been taken to undergo an operation which seemed to hold the last and only hope of saving her life. Stomach trouble is said to have been the cause of death.

Wilhelmina Hagemann, nee Nolting, was born in Silixen, on the Weser in Lipple Detmoldt. She was married to Ed Hagemann February 17, 1867. November10, 1879, she came to America with her family and made their home in Carroll, Iowa, until 1881. They then moved to the farm four miles north of Manning in Washington Township where they have lived ever since. Six children mourn her death, Henry, Lena, Fredrick, Carl, Edward and Herman, all of whom are married but Fred.

The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock with services at the German Lutheran Church in Manning.

The relatives of the deceased have the deepest sympathy of this entire community in their sad affliction.

Edward Hagemann, who lives on the old James Finn farm south of town, received notice Wednesday that his mother, Wilhelmina (Nolting) Hagemann, was dead at the German Lutheran hospital at Sioux City. Mr. Hagemann went to Sioux City yesterday, the funeral being held at the old home in Manning, Iowa. The deceased was about sixty years old and was at the hospital for an operation.
