MRS. WILLIAM WILHELMINE KRUSE
Mrs. William Wilhelmine "Minnie" Kruse, 86, of Manning, died Sunday, October 3, 1982, at the Manning General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning, will be in the Manning Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be grandsons Donovan Peterson, Ray Buffington, Douglas and Lynn Kruse, Allan Arkfeld, and Arlan Sandvik.

Mrs. Kruse is survived by her husband William, Manning; a son Robert, Manilla; a daughter-in-law Mrs. Lorraine Kruse, Manning; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Margaret Oeser, San Leandro, California; Mrs. Alma Frahm, Manning, Iowa; and Mrs. Leo (Leona) Babl, Rock Rapids, Iowa; a brother Henry Schrum, Manning; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bill, and a brother in infancy; a son Roy and a daughter-in-.law Velma Kruse.

Mrs. Kruse was born May 9, 1896, at Westside, a daughter of Henry and Catherine (Bade) Schrum. She was married to William Kruse on February 23, 1916, at the home of her parents north of Aspinwall. She lived in Hayes and Iowa Townships in Crawford County. She attended rural schools and Manning Schools.

After their marriage, they moved to a farm in Iowa Township, remaining there until they retired in 1959 and moved to Manning. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society.


Wilhelmine Kruse is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
