WILLARD DILLINGHAM
MANNING - Willard Dillingham, 87, of Manning, died Saturday, July 12, at the Manning General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Onde Funeral Home of Manning, will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife Margaret, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 13 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Dillingham was born December 6, 1892, at Manning, a son of Nathaniel and Ellen Dillingham. He attended Manning schools and served during World War I. He worked for the Priebe Poultry house and for many years was employed by the Dultmeier Mfg. Co. Before his retirement he worked for the Hass Construction Co. He was married November 17, 1943 to Margaret Vehrs at the Lutheran church in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a former member of the American Legion post and at one time was a member of the Manning Fire Department’s championship running team prior to World War I.

Elfrieda Vinke was Willard's first wife and they were married March 15, 1922, and divorced several years later.
Mildred Hanson was his second wife. Willard married her in Flandreau, South Dakota, on October 22, 1935, but was single again in 1937.
