Funeral services for William "Doc" Hagedorn, 91, of Manning were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Donald Jones of the United Methodist Church of Manning officiating.

Mr. Hagedorn died Sunday, October 1, 1978, at the Manning General Hospital.

He was born September 17, 1887, near Aspinwall to Henry and Marie (Mohr) Hagedorn. He married Emma Ehlers March 1, 1916, and they lived in the Manning area.

Mr. Hagedorn operated a truck for many years, and he also was a livestock dealer.

He is survived by one daughter, Velma Smith; two granddaughters, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Steen of Manning; and one brother, John Hagedorn of Des Moines.
