Death Notice

At the age of 20 years and 7 months, on the previous Wednesday, William Ferdinand Lamp departed from this life following a brief illness. He was born in Aspinwall on October 1, 1897, the 6th child of Mr. & Mrs. Ferdinand Lamp. Born and raised in the area he was an otherwise obedient boy to parents and teachers and was a great help to his parents at the strenuous life in agriculture, until he became ill about 2 months ago with cholera. For a time there appeared to be hope for him, but yet heart inflammation set in, the deceased passed quickly to his demise. He is mourned by his parents, his aged grandmother, Mrs. Sinow, and his siblings: Mrs. Pauline Georgius, Harry Lamp, Mrs. Anna Götsch, Mrs. Bertha Uhrich, Mrs. Elsie Rainey, Mrs. Minnie Schroder, Edwin, Julia, Arthur, and Otto Lamp. On Saturday afternoon Pastor H. Wendt held the service in the funeral home followed by internment of the body in the Iowa Township Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
