Woodrow W. Flenker

Funeral services for Woodrow "Woody" W. Flenker were held Thursday, March 26, 1993, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa, Iowa. Interment was held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa.

Woodrow W. Flenker died Monday, March 22, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa at the age of 80.
Woodrow was born November 9, 1912, in Manning, the son of Charles and Anna (Fonken) Flenker. He was married to Florence Pfoltner (sister to Mrs. Lewis 'Alma' Pfoltner Schroeder) November 7, 1937, in Manning.

For thirty years he has been a partner at Woody's Mobile Station in Maquoketa. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa and was a volunteer for the Maquoketa Fire Department for forty-seven years.

Woodrow is survived by his wife, Florence; two daughters: Mrs. Allen (Darlene) Cook of Maquoketa, Iowa and Mrs. Harlan (Doris) Hazer of Zwingle, Iowa; two sons: Roger and Richard, both of Maquoketa; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchidren; one brother, Wayne, of Maquoketa; and two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Costello of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mrs. Edna Minter of Long Beach, California.
