ZADA JOHNSON Funeral services for Zada Johnson were held Monday, October 6, 1975, at 11 a.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home at Manning. Rev. Donald Jones, United Methodist Church, Manning, officiated; Mrs. Judy Joens was soloist; Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn, organist. Interment was in the Iowa Township Cemetery with the following as casketbearers: Malick Foley, Wilbur Karsten, Elroy Schrum, Clinton Moore, Frank Handlos, and Walter Baker.

Zada Sara, daughter of Edward & Permela (Wilfong) Johnson, was born December 18, 1891, at Manning. She has made her home in Manning, with the exception of 15 years when she worked at Cherokee. She was a resident of the Terrace Apartments in Manning and entered St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll about 3 1/2 weeks ago, where she passed away on Friday evening, October 3, 1975, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, 1 grandson and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Minnie, Mrs. Kenneth Dales, Manning; one son, Edwin, of Carroll; 6 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
