He served in WWII and the Korean conflict. Afterwards he worked in the shipyards at San Francisco, entered the seminary in 1957, and graduated in 1962. He served parishes in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wyoming before coming to Audubon. In July of 1976, Pastor Wetzstein accepted a call to Logan-Magnolia where he is presently serving.

Our present Shepherd, the Rev. Henry Knoke, came to us October 17, 1976, from Rocky Ford, Colorado. Upon graduation from the seminary in June of 1939, Rev. Knoke was ordained into the ministry in September by his father, Rev. Wm. Knoke, in Kensington, Kansas. Prior to coming to Trinity he served parishes in Kansas and Colorado. His wife, Dorothy, serves as Trinity's organist, along with Mrs. Carolyn Kerkhoff. In the Fall of 1977, Trinity participated in a district-wide Open House. They observed Pastor Knoke's 40th year of ordination into the ministry of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, on Thanksgiving Eve, November 21, 1979. Rev. Knoke is pictured along with the members of the church council.
