They have rebound hymnals three times, repaired the basement piano, purchased new flags, trees for the lawn, contributed to the church library, and the Scholarship Fund.

In 1970 Green Stamps were collected for silver service and purchase of a punch bowl for use in the church. In 1971, they made Chrismons for the Christmas tree and in 1974 helped to pay for the dosal curtain and for new lights in the basement. In 1975 one hundred new folding chairs were purchased. During the Bi-Centennial year they installed a flagpole outside the church and purchased a flag.

Other projects were: a new Lectionary and Guest Book, new floor covering for the parsonage study, a tract rack for the church, serving the fall LLL Rally in 1978, contributing $100.00 toward expenses of the International LLL Convention held in Des Moines. Each year the Christmas collection is sent to Lutheran Family Services and the November collection to Lutheran World Relief.

The group has been a sponsor for the Lutheran Hour many years. They have sponsored graduation breakfasts and two breakfasts as New Hope Village projects. In 1980 with memorial money from Lorenz Ahrendsen and matched money from Aid Association for Lutherans, they installed extra lighting and a large fan in the church proper. Many of these projects were made possible by having a Soup Supper and by the "Butternut" collection at each meeting, along with a congregational paper drive.

Lutheran Youth For Christ

The LYC, "Lutheran Youth for Christ," formerly known for so many years as the Walther League, has been an active and supplementary organization of Trinity Lutheran Church since February 1922.

Members of the organization through the years have conducted the Tenebrae Services and been responsible for the Advent readings, along with the lighting of the Advent Wreath. Year after year, Christmas caroling was looked forward to when the group would go to the homes of the elderly or invalid members of the congregation, as well as the nursing homes, and as often times they would end the evening with a party and devotional service. The Wheat Ridge Seals Campaign was chaired by an individual or individuals of the group.

Many attended the Spring and Fall zone rallies that saw young people from the sister congregations join in prayers, devotions and fellowship. The stand erected on both Mission Festival and Harvest Festival were familiar sights. The League would sell candy, pop and ice cream. One weekend during the summer they would reserve for their annual ice cream social. Friends always wanted to know the date so they could attend this event.
