Rev. Alfred R. Allmann 1968- 72

Late in the year 1968, I received a call from Trinity Lutheran Church, Audubon, Iowa, to be their pastor. After accepting the same, my wife and I stopped to see the church and parsonage while on our way to visit our daughter Ruth, who was attending Concordia Teachers College at Seward, Nebraska. Our youngest daughter, Jane, was confirmed at Trinity.

The closeness of the Audubon School and Manning School Districts enabled us to attend many of the athletic events. Trinity had a good dart-ball team, of which I was a member.

Another item of remembrance is the purchase of the pipe organ. While vacationing in Wisconsin, I made it a point to visit with organ builders in Milwaukee. I found the instrument I thought would suit Trinity's purpose at the Verlinden Organ Shop. The congregation accepted my decision and in two weeks it was installed in the church and is still in operation.

I send my congratulations to Trinity on this their Centennial observance. May God continue to bless you.

-- Sincerely yours, Rev. Alfred R. Allmann

Pastor and Mrs. Wetzstein 1972- 76

Dear Members of Trinity Lutheran Church,

In early November 1972, I received a call to serve as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Audubon, Iowa. My wife and the younger members of my family were in Texas at the time. The two oldest boys, Douglas and Eric, and myself packed and transported our belongings to Iowa. We traveled during the great snowstorm along Interstate 80. By the Grace of God we arrived safely and joined the other members of our family who had experienced God's protection on their trip to Iowa from Texas. I was installed as pastor of Trinity on Sunday, November 26, 1972.
