In all respects 1973 was a good year for Trinity. "Key 73" was carried out in the community. The crops were fine. Church attendance at Divine Worship services was very good and the spirit of Christian fellowship prevailed among the people.

Another good year followed with the same blessings of congregational life for Trinity. Trinity was realigned with the Adair circuit but petitioned to return to the Carroll circuit, and this was granted to her.

During the winter of 1975 a terrible blizzard took place in January. A number of worship services had to be canceled. The church parking lot was choked with a deep snowdrift. God's blessings were much in evidence during the latter part of this year.

In early 1976 I agreed to serve as vacancy pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids, Iowa. I served both churches until I was called to a parish in western Iowa during July.

My pastorate at Trinity Lutheran Church, Audubon, Iowa, will be remembered in many ways. Trinity's Sunday School is and was a strong unit of church life -- dedicated teachers and good attendance of the children -- marked over many years.

My wife particularly remembers the deep Christian fellowship experienced by the ladies of Trinity in Bible study, work bees, and just plain "visiting."

The monthly Fellowship Club meetings with exciting Bible studies were especially edifying and enjoyable. The participation by all members was an outstanding characteristic of these activities. They were always an experience not to be missed.

The Lutheran Youth for Christ (LYC) meetings were stimulating to all. It was indeed a pleasure to see the youth of the congregation so very interested in the spiritual and social activities within the church. A highlight of the summer season was the annual homemade ice cream social prepared by the young people.

Harvest Festival
During the fall season everyone looked forward to the Harvest Festival with its service, decorations and dinner.
