Jacob Polzin (married to Catherine nee Wutschke) had three sons that we know of.
In talking with other Polzin's, Jacob may have had a brother by the name of Christian Polzin of Wusseken. Christian's 2nd wife was Joanne Christine David and they were married 1832 in Wusseken.

Albert Polzin, son of Jacob Polzin (possibly the Albert Wilhelm, born June 12, 1836 in Wusseken. Pomerania?): arrived in U.S. on May 8, 1869.

Herman Polzin, son of Jacob Polzin, born 1839; died April 10, 1901 in Audubon. IA: was married on July 6, 1884 to Johanna Charlotte Borkowski, born November 17, 1849 in Borntuchen, Pommern to August & Doretha Borkowski: died December 29, 1942 in Audubon. IA. She was a sister of Henry Borkowski and then also his aunt after her marriage. They had several grandchildren. Johanna was 34 years old when she came to the U.S. about 1883.

August Polzin, son of Jacob Polzin, born in Pomerania in September 5, 1822, died January 2, 1898 in Gray. Audubon County. Iowa and was buried in the Lincoln Cemetery. Had previously worked for landowners in Pomerania. August arrived in Chicago. IL in 1874 and moved to Walnut, IA. He became a citizen of the U.S. on January 16, 1880 at Harlan. IA Court House. August bought 160 acres in Shelby County on May 11, 1875. August & Johanna lived in Shelby County, Monroe Township until 1880. By 1885 they had moved on to Audubon County. Married to Johanna Henrietta F. Witte, born June 30, 1829 in Pomerania, died July 22, 1909 in Gray. IA. buried in Lutheran Lincoln Cemetery near Gray.

Alyina Pauline Polzin, born May 13, 1848 in Pomerania: died July 21, 1883 in Iowa. Alyina, in 1873, married Henry Ferdinand Borkowski, born June 19, 1844 at Borntuchen, Kreis Butow, Pomerania, died December 7, 1934: Henry came to US 1873/4: had other family who also came to Iowa from Borntuchen. They had eight children -- Bertha, Emil Albert, Otto August Georg, Minna Alvina Pauline, Hulda, Caroline, Heinrich Wilhelm and Gustav Friedrich. After Alvina's death. Henry married Johanna David in 1885 and they had several more children

John Frederick Polzin, born December 23, 1849 in Pomerania: arrived in U.S. in 1872: married on March 28, 1878 in Harlan, IA to Anna Fischer, born February 17, 1859 in Guttenberg, IA. He died May 11, 1950 in Creighton. MO. Cass County and was buried May 14, 1950 in Lutheran Cemetery of Creighton. Anna was daughter of Henn, & Louisa (Bergman) Fischer: she died November 16, 1922 in Creighton and was also buried in Lutheran Cemetery there.

Albert Edward Polzin, son of August & Johanna Polzin, born August 9/19, 1851 in Butow, Prussia. On November 23, 1882 he married Berth Emilie Augusta Rudnick, born December 17, 1860. Daughter of Henry Rudnick & Albertien Witt in Prussia. They lived many years in Audubon. IA before moving to Flagler, CO in 1921 and remained until their deaths. Albert died December 6, 1942, and Bertha died January 6, 1941. When Albert, age 18, came to the U.S., he was a stowaway and helped by his brother John Frederick Polzin.

Pauline Polzin, daughter of August & Johanna Polzin. born March 7, 1861 in Butow, Pomerania, died October 27, 1961 in Pawhuska, Osage County. OK: married September 6, 1882 to Horace Matthew "Harve" Freas in Walnut, Pottawattamie Co. IA. She immigrated from Germany in 1874. Harve was born March 15, 1862 in Pennsylvania, died August 7, 1932 in Osage County. OK.

Frederick Carl Polzin, born 19 Jul 1866 in Pomerania. immigrated to Chicago. IL and then to Iowa 1874: married March 10, 1890 to Sophia Margaret Ketelsen in Gray. IA. He died October 31, 1925 in Napa, CA and was buried November 1925 in Tulocav Cemetery, Napa. CA. She was born April 23, 1868, daughter of Ketel Henry & Christine Marie (Jurgensen) Ketelsen in Charlotte. IA, Clinton County and died June 14, 1959 in Napa. CA; buried June 16, 1959 in Tulocav Cemetery of Napa. CA.

Emil Henry Polzin, Rev., son of August & Johanna Polzin, born March 23, 1872 in Kreis Butow, Pomerania; immigrated to Walnut. IA in 1874; died May 7, 1958 in Cleveland. OH and was buried May 10, 1958 in Woodlawn Cemetery of Orchard Park. NY. He was an ordained Lutheran minister. He was married on November 24, 1897 in Arcadia. IA to Doris Johanna Marie Lehmberg, born July 12, 1877 in Hanover, Germany, Chuttsdorf Province: daughter of Christoph & Christine (Bremer) Lehmberg. Doris died December 31, 1965 in Cleveland, OH. and was buried January 4, 1966 in Woodlawn Cemetery. Orchard Park, NY.
