In 1999, a group of church volunteers prepared for the 100th Anniversary of Zion in 2000.
They asked every member to look for old confirmation
class pictures. I scanned them and then printed them for the display at the church.Unfortunately I didn't have the professional scanners and software like I do today, plus
as of 2020, I have over 25 years of scanning experience and fully understand high resolution scanning.
Below is an example of the 1999 scan and a 2016 scan.
While these
pictures are difficult to scan because of the original over-exposure on the faces by the camera and original print, the newer scan is much better.
I sized the new scan to match the old one for comparison, but if you compare the full scan size of both, the newer scan is dramatically better.
So if anyone reading this has any old original Zion confirmation class photos - please contact me - I'd like to get your picture/s and make high resolution scans.
