Sitting: Jack Vest (bowling alley operator in basement) and Dorothy Coleman (mother of Viola Stangl)
Pat & Barney Stangl purchased the tavern in January of 1946 and sold it in the summer of 1951. They also ran the bowling alley that was downstairs beneath the place.

Jack Vest ran Manning Recreation Alleys --- one of the early operators.

John Vest, of Cherokee, former Manning resident, will again move to Manning. Wednesday, he purchased the Manning Recreation Alleys from Joe Rehker of Arcadia, who built the alleys here several years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Lucinda (Goodwin) Weed and son, Arnold Weed, of Missouri Valley have moved to Manning and reside in the Martin Becker property.
Arnold Weed will operate Coney Inn at 415 Main Street, the home of Manning sandwiches in the Joe Rehker building.
Arthur Weed will manage an ice cream curb station in the Jake Bruck building on North Main Street. Saturday will probably be the opening if equipment can be installed by that time.
