Recently, I was looking for information about the family of my maternal grandmother, Effie Atherton, who once lived in Manning.

I found David Kusel's website.
There were the names of Effie and two of her sisters as graduates of Manning High School.
I posted an inquiry on the Manning Exchange. The next day, I received a reply from David in which he told me three Atherton names from the Manning Cemetery.

I searched one of the names, Halsey Atherton, on one of the genealogical websites. He was Effie's father. I was able to trace the Atherton family back to the 1700s. My g-g-g-g-grandparents were Jonathan Atherton and Amy Sabin, who were married in 1770.
There was also information on the Sabin family going back to Massachusetts in the 1670s.

I hope this information helps anyone who is researching their Atherton/Sabin roots.
