Hi Nancy,

I didn't find any Cave names listed for Carroll County cemeteries.

Hamer is listed in Lanesboro & Manning cemeteries.
Hamers is listed in Carroll & Breda cemeteries.

I only have the Manning cemetery booklet.

Manning Cemetery

Section C Row 28 south - north
Eliza Hamer ------ - November 20, 1895
(on the west side of the headstone is written) wife of David 86y, 2m, 12d
David Hamer March 14, 1816 - September 23, 1898

Each section is marked A, B, etc and the rows described above start in the North East corner of that section going north to south and the next row going south to north.
You'll notice the Lutheran church just north of the cemetery and Center street just west of the cemetery.

The records I look at are listed in the Iowa Genealogical Society booklet --- data was collected for the society by Ginger Hudson of Manning.
This booklet only shows names/dates listed on the grave stones.
The City of Manning has record books that may possibly have more information which is located in City Hall.

This is a general index for the Manning Centennial book.

I didn't find Hamer listed but that doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't information in the book but I would highly doubt it since they died in the late 1800s (unless they had chidren/relatives who continued to live in Manning).

This web page will explain the obituary/memorial situation for Manning as of right now.

Hope this helps some.
