Bill,

It's been some time since you posted. I just found this site - great job David! Since your email address is out of date, I'll post in the off chance you will find your way back.

Cristoph Gehrman is my great grandfather. He was married to Wilhemina, though I don't know her maiden name - I might have it here somewhere. The address you have is for Fred and Elsie Petersen. Elsie was a daughter of theirs. The folks lived with Fred and Elsie a number of years. The death date that David has for Chris is a mistake; yours sounds right. Wilhelmina far outlived Chris. Wilhelmina lived with Fred and Elsie until her death. Chris and Wilhemina came over from Germany in 1886, and lived at that time in Omaha as best as I know. But I believe that they were around Audubon when my grandparents met.

Elsie, b. 04/04/95 d. 12/31/62, married Fred Petersen, b. 3/6/91 d. 12/24/62, on 12/4/19. Fred and Elsie had one child, my father, Warren Leon, b. 12/19/23 d. 5/23/95. (All are buried in Manning.) As is at least one other daughter of Chris, Alice b. 6/24/84 in Germany, d. 1940. They came over when she was two. Alice was married to William Murnan in Tucson, Az. (d. 1926)

Martha, who married Harry Reisfelt and lived in the SF bay area, died in 1985 in Sebastopol, Ca.

Fred who was married to Catherine, had two children from his first marriage, Fred and Kay.

There were some other sons. I have never compiled the tree.

Feel free to email me.
