From our family records, I believe that we are related. My great-grandmother was Magdalena Buhmann-Claussen. Henry Buhmann (1864-1931) was her brother. Our records show that Henry married Laura Vinke in 1902. Magdalena married Hans C. Claussen and my grandfather, Claus John Henry Claussen, was their third child, oldest son, of nine children. They lived in Manning, Iowa. Hans and Madgalena were my mother's(Ila Dorothy Claussen-Rix) grandparents. Family and community records state that Henry Buhmann owned the Virginia Cafe in Manning for a time. I grew up in Manning but now live in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I would like to know if our records match yours!
