This is a general questionnaire form for anyone who worked for the Manning area country or town school system. Some questions may not pertain to the position you were hired for but please use them as a guideline. Please try to answer the questions with more than one or two words - use several sentences to explain.

If you are working with a history book volunteer they will make a follow up visit to gather your information & pictures and maybe ask you some more questions or explain some of your answers.

3 What grade did you teach or job were you hired for?

3a Did you change positions while here?

3b What were some of the bigger changes you saw at school?

3c What were some of your tasks?

4 For those of you who taught country school or have been retired for many years who were some of the students in your class and staff you worked with?

4a Which country school/s did you teach at - list county and township school #

4b Did you live with one of the local farm families and what were the names?

4c Who was the country school director?

4d List as many students and families you can that attended and lived near this country school.

5 What are some of your fond/funny moments connected to school?

5a Did your spouse or relatives work at Manning schools?

5b Did your grandparents, parents, and/or children attend Manning schools and did any of them go into the teaching profession either at Manning or elsewhere?

6 How many years did you work in the Manning school system and when did you retire or move on to another school or job?

6a Were you featured in the Manning Monitor or another newspaper about your time at Manning schools and if so do you have a copy of that article or what was the print date? This information could be used in your story.

7 If you are retired how have you been keeping yourself busy?
