It's Ready, Set, Go for the Manning Fire and Rescue as they have plans for their 125th anniversary celebration August 30th.

Activities for the day are water fights, men and women beginning at 1:00 p.m. Trophies will be awarded to first through fourth place. Following the water fights (at around 4:00 p.m.) the beer garden will open and DJ, Jim Hirschberg's SOUND CO., will be providing music at 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.

The local department wants antique fire, ambulance, police, military or any old apparatus for the afternoon display and 8:00 p.m. parade. All entries can be either new, restored or un-restored. There will also be food stands on the grounds.

Through the generosity of the Kinderfest Committee fireworks will be set off as soon as it is dark. The fireworks were originally going to be set off during Kinderfest, June 14, but a mix-up in dates prevented that from happening.
