Clarence Reuben John David, the son of Albert Herman and Minna Avina Borkowski David, was born September 8, 1905, on his parent's farm in Lincoln Township, Audubon County and died December 3, 2002, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, at the age of 97 years, 2 months, and 25 days.
Clarence was baptized in 1905 and confirmed in 1919 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township. He attended rural school in Lincoln Township, and attended Manning High School, then helped operate the family farm.
On December 28, 1927, he was united in marriage to Beata Helena Dorthea Schade at Trinity Lutheran Church. They operated several different farms in Audubon County. They retired from farming in 1967 and moved into Audubon. Clarence was the groundskeeper at Greenbrier Golf Course, Littlefield Park, and other areas for several years.
