Dear City Utility Customers:
Community leaders and businesses made a "splash" on Thursday evening, November 2, responding to the invitation to join Manning Public Works and Manning Municipal Utilities in providing funding for "Hillside Splash," an outdoor aquatic center adjacent to the Manning Rec Center. City in-kind labor donation is valued at several hundred thousand dollars. Municipal Utilities has made an initial $50,000 grant toward the project.

Fifty individuals attended the "Splash" event ad shared the excitement of the project. The Hillside Splash Campaign Committee and the City of Manning now invites ALL community residents to participate in the campaign. A response form is attached to this letter. Your contribution and/or commitment can be directed toward "Hillside Splash" and dropped off at City Hall or sent to City Hall at 321 Center Street. While various giving levels are noted, gifts of any amount are appreciated. With generous donations much of the work can be completed in the summer of 2018 and the Hillside Splash can open in the summer of 2019.

Manning continues to enhance healthy, outdoor experiences - sports fields, community trails for walking and biking, and parks offering recreational opportunities for families and gatherings of all kinds. All these experiences stimulate the local economy as people shop, dine, and discover what Manning has to offer. Expansion of local water fun is one more reason people choose to live and shop in Manning. The Hillside Splash will make the community motto: "It's Refreshing" an experience.

Thank you for making a "splash" in Manning!
