In early 2017, the son of Joe Loucks from Illinois found my web page and contacted me by e-mail.
I asked him if he had any old Manning pictures. I knew his dad, Joe Loucks, was the mayor but did not know that Joe also liked to take pictures.
It so happens that Joe had over 140 slides of Manning events and scenes, including the construction of the outdoor pool.
Up to this point in time I had never seen any construction pictures of the outdoor pool.
I'm so grateful that the Loucks family was willing to send me those slides from Illinois to scan.
