ALBERT SCHROEDER
Albert Schroeder, 80, of Manning died early Wednesday, June 20, 1973, at Manning General Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in failing health for two months.

His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Joel Wright officiating. Nephews will be pallbearers.

Burial will be in Hayes Township Cemetery.

Mr. Schroeder, son of August and Caroline (Tank) Schroeder, was born September 18, 1892, in Washington Township, Carroll County. He attended rural schools and served overseas during World War I.

His marriage to Alma Petersen took place at Clinton January 15, 1920. They farmed near Westside and Manning until 1961, when they retired and moved into Manning.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and V.F.W. Post at Manning, and of the Veterans of World War I Post at Denison.

Mr. Schroeder is survived by his wife; two sons, Burdette of Carroll and Russell of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Clara Petersen of Westside; Harry, Otto, and Herbert Schroeder, Mrs. Hilda Karsten and Mrs. Lolida Wegner, all of Manning; and Mrs. Alma Meyer of Denison.

Preceding him in death were an infant son, Donald; and two brothers, Willie and George Schroeder.
