ALFRED EWOLDT
Alfred Ewoldt was born December 8, 1896, at Aspinwall, Iowa, the son of William and Margaret Ewoldt. He died February 26, 1978, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison at the age of 81.

Alfred was raised in the Aspinwall and Manning areas where he received his education. He later served in the U.S. Army during WWI.

On January 24, 1923, he was united in marriage to Anna Hansen at Carroll. Together they made their home on a farm near Westside. In 1971 they retired and moved to Denison where they have continued to make their home.

In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by four brothers, John, William, Emil, and Henry and one grandson, John Ewoldt.

Survivors include his wife Anna of Denison, one daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Myron Dettbarn of Breda, and one son Donald of Stockton, California. Also by five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Laura Hell of Manning.

Funeral services were held March 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, Denison. Burial was in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens. The Rev. James D. Cobb officiated at the services. Mrs. Dorothy Norman and Mrs. Connie Zenk provided the music for the service.

Pallbearers included, Max Hansen, Kenneth Ewoldt, Reynold Gehlsen, Lynn Ewoldt, James Quandt and Ivan Ewoldt.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison.

CARD OF THANKS
We, the family of Alfred Ewoldt, would like to express our thanks to our many friends, relatives and neighbors for the many kind acts and deeds extended in sympathy to us at the time of his death.

For the many memorials, flowers, food and cards. Special thanks to Rev. James Cobb for his comforting words at the service, for his visits and prayers both in the hospital and our home. Thanks to organist, Mrs. Dorothy Norman and soloist Mrs. Connie Zenk for their comfort in music. Thanks to Dr. Bendixon and Dr. Soll, along with the staff at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital.

Thanks to the ladies of the United Presbyterian Church who prepared and served a delicious noon meal after the funeral.

Last, but not least, the staff of Huebner Funeral Home for their services and kind consideration extended to our family. All these gestures will never be forgotten. May God bless all of you.
