Former Justice of the Peace dies

A former Bozeman, Montana, Justice of the Peace, Calvin Eugene Barrick, 80, died Sunday, April 27, 1975, at the Montana Veterans' Home in Columbia Falls. He is buried Sunset Memorial Park, Belgrade, Montana.

He formerly had lived in Helena and had been justice of the Peace in Bozeman for six years.

He was born in Manning, Iowa, August 7, 1894, to the late Emery Elwood and Esther M. (Reynolds) Barrick, was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a Veteran of World War I.

Preceding him in death were his second wife, Idell (Thomson); a brother, Neil; a daughter, Vivian; and two sons, Calvin (at birth) and Walter.

Survivors include his first wife, Bertha E (Hardie) Barrick-Leidle; two sons, Wayne Barrick, Goleta, California; Howard Barrick, Bozeman; two daughters, Mrs. Rae Starnes, Loon Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Gladys Dennis, Holly, Colorado; four sisters Mrs. Vera Chapman, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Fred H. Miller, Missoula, Montana; Mrs. Robert Magart-Barnes (Alta), Lemon Grove, California, Mrs. Wilma Landry, Helena, Montana; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Dokken-Nelson Funeral Home, Bozeman.
