Agnes and Lawrence Bock
On September 15, 1936, he married Agnes Helen Navin of Manning. They became the parents of five children: Mary Patricia Miller, R.N., of Primrose, Nebraska; Helen Agnes Garnett of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; a graduate from C.E. Business School, Larry Thomas, Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Blair, Nebraska; John Leo, plant foreman at Kisgen Manufacturing Company in Fremont, Nebraska; and Michael James, Assistant Principal of Waverly-Shell Rock School at Waverly, Iowa.

The boys were all outstanding athletes in high school, college, and teaching, Larry was inducted into the Hall of Fame Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, on February 21, 1981.

Lawrence was active in the fire department, Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus (over 50 year member), American Legion (over 50 years member), interested in good education, enjoyed square dancing, and especially enjoyed baseball.

Lawrence died on February 23, 1975, and his wife Helen has moved to an apartment in Blair, Nebraska.

Mass of the resurrection for Lawrence John Bock, 79, of Templeton will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church here by the Rev. Eugene T. Schumacher.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Manning, with military rites by American Legion Post No. 22 and V.F.W. Post No. 3517, both of Manning. Viewing starts at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning at 4 p.m. Tuesday. A Scripture service at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday will be followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8:45.

Mr. Bock died at St. Francis Hospital, West Point, Nebraska, at 10 p.m. February 23, 1975. He had been in ill health for several months.

He was born April 3, 1895, in Rand, Iowa, a son of John and Mary (Jackley) Bock, and was a Templeton resident for 75 years. His marriage to Agnes Helen Navin took place September 15, 1936, at Sacred Heart Church in Manning.

He was in the garage business in Templeton for 42 years, and was associated with Manning Motor Manning.

Mr. Bock was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus, both at Templeton. He was a veteran of World War I, and a 50-year member of the American Legion at Manning.

Surviving are his wife; five children, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Miller of Primrose, Nebraska; Mrs. Donald (Helen) Garnett of Ormond Beach, Florida; Larry of West Des Moines, Iowa; John of West Point, Nebraska; and Mike of Waverly, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Cornelius of Templeton, Iowa; Arthur of Carroll, Iowa; and Raymond of Omaha, Nebraska; and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Frances) Murphy of Alameda. California.
