HENRY WILLIAM BRANDHORST

Military funeral rites for Henry William Brandhorst, 82, were held on Sunday, November 29, 1970, at 2:30 P.M. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Lester Williams of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Judy Joens was soloist, Bonita Hagedorn the organist for the service. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Brandhorst died on Thursday evening, November 26 at Greene County Hospital in Jefferson. He had been in ill health for two months.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandhorst, he was born March 9, 1888, near Manning, and attended schools at Gray.

He served overseas in World War I.

He worked at the Manning Mill, then for W.B. Parrott Co., and then managed the plant of Priebe and sons for many years, retiring 15 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Settlemeier and Mrs. Helen Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; two children, Mrs. Kennard (Virginia) Cheney, Jefferson and Russell Lathrop of San Mateo, California; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Henry & Pearl are buried in the Manning Cemetery.
