Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis Edward Fischer was held Monday, March 5, 1990 at
1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll, Iowa. Reverend Father Frank Nemmers was
celebrant, Bill and Colleen Wuebker were Lectors and Gift Bearers were members of the
Knights of Columbus.
Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, with Dale Steinkamp,
Alan Lemker, Dennis Venner, Jack Foley, Tom Reinart, Tom Kollasch, Vic Wendl and Dan
Schaben as casketbearers. A Rosary was held Sunday, March 4, 1990 at 3:00 p.m. and a
Christian Wake service by the parish and Knights of Columbus was conducted at 8:00 p.m.
Dennis Edward Fischer, 53, died unexpectedly at his home in Carroll, Iowa of an apparent
heart attack Friday, March 2, 1990.
Dennis, son of Eddie and Vera Kooker Fischer, was born October 30, 1936 in Des Moines,
Iowa. He was a 1955 graduate of Manning High School and mechanic school in Kansas
City.
He served three years in the National Guard, U.S. Army in Hawaii beginning in 1958.
He was employed at the Manning Motor Co., Manning, Iowa.
September 8, 1962, Dennis was united in marriage to Florine Wuebker at St. Joseph's
Catholic Church in Carroll, Iowa with Reverend Father Frank Nemmers officiating. They
made their home in Carroll, Iowa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carroll.
Dennis was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Fischer in 1965 and by his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wuebker. He is survived by his wife Florine, Carroll, Iowa and his parents Eddie and Vera Fischer, Manning, Iowa.
