Funeral services for Kenneth Dale Fogleman were held Monday, January 2, 1989 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.
Paster Robert Riggert officiated the service with Paula Weiss as organist. Interment was held in Manning City Cemetery in Manning with Ronnie Hiatt, William Hoffman, Greg Morford, Milford Wiese, Steven McCollum and Louis Anstoeter as casketbearers.

Military honors were by Emil Ewoldt Post 22 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3517, both of Manning. Prayer service was held Sunday, January 1, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, Iowa.

Kenneth, son of Harlow and Helen Williams Fogleman, was born September 19, 1928 at Cherokee, Iowa. He attended school in Cherokee and later in Hawarden, Iowa where he graduated with the class of 1945.

From 1946 until 1948 Ken served with the United States Army during the occupation of Japan.
June 25, 1950 Ken was united in marriage with Mae Bogatzke. Four children, Debra, Nancy, Carmen, and Steven, were born to this union.
Ken worked at the Council Oak Store in Manning as a meat cutter. He later worked at the Manning Locker and then operated the Standard oil Station. For many years Ken was an employee of the United States Postal Service and served as postmaster in Manning until his retirement several years ago.

Ken was united in marriage with Esther Williams.
Ken was an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Manning. He held several offices in the Manning post and also on the state level. He recently completed a term as State VFW Commander. He also served as a member of the Manning Fire Department and of the Manning ambulance crew. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.

Ken died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 28, 1988 at his home in Wall Lake, Iowa at the age of 60 years, 3 months, and 9 days.
He was preceded in death by his father and by his first wife, Mae Bogatzke Fogleman. Ken is survived by his wife, Esther Fogleman, of Manning; by his children: Debra Wesley, of Osceola; Nancy and her husband, Jeff Schwieso, of Manning; Carmen and her husband, Robert Yancey, of West Des Moines; and Steven Fogleman and his wife, Julie, of Manning; by seven grandchildren: Quinn Wesley, Shannon and Mitchell Walters, Justeen Schwieso, Rachel Yancey and Stephanie and Brian Fogleman; by his mother, Helen Fogleman, of Cherokee; by a sister, Marge, Mrs. Dale Sleezer of Aurelia; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Kenneth Fogelman is buried in the Manning Cemetery.
