Funeral services for George Petersen of Hardwick, Minnesota, former area resident, were held at Hardwick April 16, 2 p.m. He died April 13, 1965.

Funeral services for George A. Petersen, 77, who died Tuesday at a Sioux Falls hospital, were held Friday at Zion Lutheran Church.
The Rev. John Klemp officiated and burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne, Minnesota. The Luverne American Legion and the V.F.W. had charge of graveside rites. Mr. Petersen was a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Petersen was born November 9, 1887, in Aspinwall, Iowa. He went to Manning, Iowa, and later to Rock County, Minnesota. He married Alma Pauline Petersen at Manning, October 31, 1923.
Mr. Petersen was manager of a grain elevator here for 30 years and he retired in 1945. Since that time he worked in a feed store.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Rock of Seattle, Washington; two sons, Judson of Hardwick and Richard of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. John Hagedorn of Hardwick and Mrs. Herman Hagedorn of St. Paul, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for George Andrew Petersen, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church. He died Tuesday.
Born November 9, 1887, in Aspinwall, Iowa. He was married October 31, 1923, in Manning, Iowa, to Alma Pauline Petersen. He came to Hardwick in 1912 and was manager of a grain elevator for 30 years until his retirement in 1945. Since then he had been associated with a son in the operation of a feed store. He served as a councilman and school board member at Hardwick.
Survivors are the widow; two sons, Judson, Hardwick, and Richard, Dell Rapids; a daughter, and nine grandchildren.
