Henry Jochim Lohmeier, 71, Manning, died Monday afternoon, February 6, 1967, at Manning General Hospital, where he had been a patient for ten days.

Military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Ohde Funeral Home for the Veteran of World War I. The Rev. Carl G. Sinning, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

A son of John William and Mary (McElwaine) Lohmeier, he was born near Manning September 28, 1895. He attended rural school at Ewoldt No. 1 and Ewoldt No. 8.

On February 2, 1921, he was married to Minnie Rostermundt. They farmed near Manning and then moved into town, where he was employed by the Dultmeier Manufacturing Company.

Surviving are his children, Mrs. Velma Weber, Chicago; Raymond, Omaha; Amos, Manning; Mrs. Bernice Samar, Boulder, Colorado; Mrs. Harold (Ruby) Rose, Anoka, Minnesota; Willis, Des Moines; and Mrs. Reginald (Lavonne) Watters, Lake City; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Joens and Mrs. Albert (Arlene) Musfeldt, Manning, and Mrs. Fred (Alice) Grau, Arcadia; and one brother, Raymond, Council Bluffs.

Mr. Lohmeier's wife died December 14, 1965. Also preceding him in death were a son, Alvin, in 1956, and a brother, John.
