TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!
Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts
and Cracker Jacks,
I don't care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root
for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes,
you're out, at the old ball game!

Kenny graduated from Manning High School in 1933, where he was an accomplished baseball player and enjoyed playing all sports. After graduation he played on the town baseball team, a member of Central States Semi-Professional League. He also worked with his father in the Klean Klose Shop, a dry cleaning business located on Main Street in Manning.
On May 7, 1941, Kenny was drafted into the United States Army. He was medically discharged in November of that year. He returned to Manning for a short time before moving to San Pedro, California, to work in the shipyard. In 1944 he moved back to Manning to join his father in the dry cleaning business.
Kenny was united in marriage with Virginia Marian Brown at Fairmont, Minnesota, on July 20, 1951. Two daughters were born to this union. In 1959 Kenny purchased the dry cleaning business from his father. After closing the Klean Klose Shop in 1977, Kenny worked for Culligan Soft Water and Nelson Manufacturing. When he retired, he and his wife continued to live in Manning where Virginia taught school. When she retired they enjoyed traveling together. After the death of his wife on October 18, 1997, Kenny moved to the Terrace Apartments.
