Louie Tank
Louie (service #3013893) was inducted into the US Army on August 13, 1918 and trained at Camp Dodge, Iowa. He served with Casual Company Detachment #12 163rd Depot Brigade.
His company was under the command of Cavalry Colonel Rush S. Wells. Louie received his discharge notice by telegram on November 15, 1918 and official AGO discharge certificate by letter on November 30, 1918.

Memories of Louie:
Louie's transport ship came down with flu after they left New York for Europe (Louie never became ill).
So they came back to New York and after recovering from the flu they headed out to sea again and while at sea they received word that the war was over so they again returned to New York going by the Statue of Liberty for the fourth time.
