Marvin M. Meyers


Marvin is son of Henry W. and Anna Meyers.

He married Helen Burkett, the daughter of Senator Elmer Jacob Burkett of Nebraska, who also was in the House of Representatives, made an unsuccessful bid to become Vice-President, and was a well-known lawyer throughout the western United States as head of the law firm of Burkett, Wilson, Brown & Wilson.

Marvin or Mike, as he was known, lived in Omaha and became President and Chairman of First Federal Savings and Loan of Nebraska and President of Investors Life Insurance of Omaha. He was also a member of the Air National Guard and a member of the state Republican committee.
