OTTO KROEGER

Otto Kroeger, son of Gustav and Alvine (Martens) Kroeger, was born February 10, 1896, and passed away June 13, 1970, at the home of his son near Lake View.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, at 10 a.m. in the United Presbyterian Church at Vail with Rev. Ronald Swedberg officiating.

Interment was made in the Arcadia Cemetery; graveside military rites were held by the Legion Post #65 of Vail. Pallbearers were Darrell Anderson, Leon Anderson, Lenus Anderson, John F. Kroeger, Gilbert Kroeger, and Orville Kroeger, all nephews of the deceased.

On July 14, 1921, Mr. Kroeger and Ella Gosch were united in marriage and were parents of Dorine and Russell, both of whom survive their father. Mrs. Kroeger died in 1932. In 1935, he married Rose Brandt of Vail; she preceded him in death in 1967. A sister, Mrs. Gus (Anna) Anderson, and two brothers, Henry and Fred Kroeger, also preceded him. Survivors include Dorine, now Mrs. Charles Taranowicz of Trenton, New Jersey; Russell of Lake View; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Ernest and Herbert of Carroll.

Funeral services for Otto Kroeger, 74, of Vail were held at 10 a.m. June 16 in the Presbyterian Church at Vail.
He died June 13, 1970, at the home of his son, Russell Kroeger, at Lake View.
The Rev. Ronald Swedberg officiated at the rites. Burial was in the Arcadia Cemetery, under direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison.
Mr. Kroeger is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Clorine) Taranowicz of Trenton, New Jersey; his son, Russell; eight grandchildren and two brothers, Ernest and Herbert Kroeger, both of Carroll.
