CIVIL WAR VETERAN MANNING EXPIRES
Death Claims Samuel B. Parrott, 80 Years Old Hold Funeral Service Sunday.

Samuel B. Parrott, 80 years old, a resident of Manning since 1893, died at the home of his son, William B. and Angelina (Kenyon) Parrott, Friday, January 5, 1923, following a stroke of paralysis. He had been in poor health for a number of years.

Mr. Parrott was born in Hillsboro, Indiana, November 12, 1842, was a Veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted in Company H. of the 12th Indiana volunteers.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Presbyterian Church in Manning, Rev. Dr. O.D. Elliot officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Sam's wife was Anna Eliza Morgan and they had one son, William.
