Henry Polzin

Henry August Polzin, 67, 101 Davis St., Napa, died Friday, June 23, 1961, at the Veterans Hospital, Oakland, after a four-year illness.

A veteran of World War I, he was born in Manning, Iowa, in 1894, to Frederick Carl, Sr. and Sophia Margaret (Ketelsen) Polzin.

Mr. Polzin was educated in Iowa and Kansas and later was engaged in farming at Filer, Idaho.

Following the First World War he farmed at Orland, California, and Petaluma. Mr. Polzin was employed at Basalt here during World War II. Later he was engaged in farming at Jerome, Idaho.

Surviving are the following sisters and brothers: Hanna Schultz, Parma, Idaho; Elsie Schafer, Napa; Bertha Pauline Cearley, Sacramento; Irene Hosman, Napa; Clara Wright, Napa; Ruth Dunker, Cordelia; Arthur H. Polzin, Napa; Fred C. Polzin, Napa; and Victor Polzin, Napa.

Masonic services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Garden Chapel of Treadway and Wigger Funeral Home by Yount Lodge, F&AM. Burial will be in Tulocay Cemetery, Napa, California.
