KARL J. SCHMIDT
Karl J. Schmidt, 215 West Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis district manager for the United States Gypsum Company, died unexpectedly Monday September 9, 1935, at University Hospital at the age of 42. He was a member of the Minneapolis Consistory, Zuhrah Temple, the Minneapolis Athletic Club, and the Sales Managers' Club, and a graduate of the Engineering School at Ames, Iowa, in the class of 1920.

He was born April 15, 1893, at Manning, Iowa, to Charles and Louisa (Hoft) Schmidt, and graduated from Manning High School in 1910.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Lulu Schmidt; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Schmidt of Manning, and one sister, Miss Verna Schmidt of Ames.

He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Frankie Schmidt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bert P. Johnston Funeral Parlor, 2301 Dupont Avenue South, and the body will be taken to Manning for burial Thursday.
