On June 5, 1917, registered for the World War I draft. At the time, he was still single, and working with his father, Emil, on the farm.
In 1949, he was living at 2218 Douglas Street in Omaha, Nebraska, and working as a laborer for Swift's meatpacking plant in Omaha.

Willie Sinow and Pete Siem left this week to take up their training to become soldiers for Uncle Sam.
Funeral rites are scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, at Zion Lutheran Church in Omaha, with burial at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, Omaha, Nebraska.
Son of Emil and Wilhelmie (Gottshch) Sinow, he was born in Aspinwall, Iowa, on November 13, 1893.
Mr. Sinow's wife, Margaret (Wentzel) Miller-Sinow died two years ago. He has one step-daughter.
Relatives in this area include a sister, Mrs. John Derner, Manning, and a brother, Herbert Sinow of Gray.
