Private Wilbur Talbott
Private Wilbur S. Talbott arrived home this week from Quantico, Virginia, near
Washington, D.C. where he has been stationed for the last two weeks, to visit his mother and family until the last of the week.
The members of his company, the Seventy-sixth Company, Sixth Regiment of the United States Marines, were allowed a ten-day furlough and most all of them availed themselves of the opportunity to go to see home folks as it will undoubtedly be the a time for a while as they will probably sail about the 10th of September for France.
