Mrs. Bargenquast died Tuesday, September 26, 1989, at Manilla Manor.
Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manning.
Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:15 at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.
The Sacred Heart choir will provide music at the funeral.
Casketbearers will be Kevin Conway, Patrick Conway, Paul Volquartsen, Don Roecker, Cletus McGrane, and Pat Wilfong.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin, of Perry; a daughter, Betty (Mrs. Mark) Conway of Bellevue, Nebraska; a son, Ron Wilfong, and his wife, Shirley, of Rapid City, South Dakota; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Paul Vollmer of Manning, Franklin Vollmer of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and Gene Vollmer of Dunedin, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren; seven brothers, Frankie, Joe, Mike, Leo, Charles, Monsignor Ed, and LaVern Vollmer; seven sisters, Bertha Kuhl, Flossie Hunter, Margaret Rowedder, Dollie McDonough, Loretta Hamill, Isabelle Meiers, and Caroline Bassinet.
Claire Vollmer was born January 8, 1908, near Manning, a daughter of Frank and Mary Ann (Macke) Vollmer. She attended country school near her home, and later Manning High School.
On August 12, 1924, she married Guy Wilfong, and the couple had two children. After living in several communities in the Midwest, they returned to Manilla where both children graduated from Manilla High School.
On September 12, 1953, Claire married Edwin Bargenquast at Papillion, Nebraska. They made their home in Manilla until a number of years ago when they moved to Perry. While living in Perry they were members of St. Patrick's Parish.
